What is a data eSIM?

A data eSIM is a digital SIM profile that adds a prepaid mobile data plan to your phone without a physical SIM card. You buy it online, receive a QR code by email, scan it in your phone settings and connect to local networks at your destination.

How do I install an eSIM?

After purchase you receive a QR code by email. Go to your phone's Settings › Cellular/Mobile › Add eSIM and scan the QR code. Install it while you have Wi-Fi — the plan only starts when you connect at your destination.

Which phones support eSIM?

Most phones from 2019 onwards: iPhone XS/XR and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer (plus Z Fold/Flip), Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many other recent models. The phone must be carrier-unlocked. Dial *#06# — if an EID is shown, your phone supports eSIM.

Can I keep my regular SIM and number?

Yes. Your physical SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS, while the eSIM provides data abroad. The eSIM itself is data-only and has no phone number.

When does my eSIM plan start?

Your plan begins when you first connect to a supported network at your destination, not when you buy or install it.

Can I top up my eSIM?

Yes, on plans marked Top-up. Open My eSIM, log in with your order email and add data to the eSIM you already installed.

Is one eSIM enough for several countries?

Yes — regional plans such as Asia, Europe or Global cover many countries with one eSIM. Each plan page lists every country it includes.

Why do I need to turn on data roaming?

A travel eSIM connects to local partner networks as a visiting line, so your phone needs Data Roaming switched on for the eSIM. It costs nothing extra: the data comes from your prepaid plan. Keep data roaming off on your home SIM, and your home carrier has nothing to charge you for.

Can I get a refund?

Once the QR code and activation code are emailed, an eSIM can't be cancelled or refunded, even if it was never installed. If it can't connect because of a problem on our side or our network partner's, we replace it or refund it in full, and if you were charged but nothing was delivered, we deliver it or refund the full amount. Please check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked before you buy. Approved refunds reach your PayPal payment method within 5–7 business days; see our Refund Policy for details.
